Fall is crazy for photographers. All y’all awesome folks want us to document your family pictures, and while that is a fantastic blessing, it also means I am currently about a month behind on editing.
Back in the beginning of November, I got to share my love for running with the kiddos of a local church – Cornerstone Church in Boulder Colorado. They hit the track to raise funds for other kiddos across the globe in Kamuli, Uganda in the Uganda Kids for Kids Run. It was fantastic.

Educating 140 children, Kamuli opened its very first local school this past year. Most of these students are orphans who had not previously had the opportunity to attend school. Their school leaders had a dream to see a second building constructed in order to provide an education for even more students. The children of Cornerstone were eager to help.
To make the dream of this second school building a reality in Uganda, these Colorado kids secured the support of family and friends. For each lap run around the track at Fairview High School, their supporters pledged a donation. Hundreds of miles later, the Cornerstone kids raised over $11,000!
The funds have already been sent to Kamuli, Uganda, and construction is underway on the new classrooms. They are projected to be completed by the beginning of their new school year at the end of January 2018. Cornerstone is excited to make this Kids’ Run an annual event. Through which they will continue to support their Ugandan friends for years to come.
