Appreciating your real beauty looks vastly different for each woman, for me it was about understanding that neither my weight nor food dictated my beauty. This week, Hannah talks about what that path looked liked for her.
“If I could tell myself one thing in high school – there is nothing more worthy of someone’s love than being yourself. I struggled in high school with constant depression and simply not feeling good enough. I was not good enough for my boyfriend, my teachers, and my friends. It was incredibly sad and frustrating. Once I realized that the Lord loved me regardless of my flaws and mistakes, there was so much freedom in that. I could finally relax and be myself. There was so much joy derived from being free to be myself that I was free to make mistakes. I would give my high school self a hug and tell her that being yourself was worth it.”s – Portraits – Boulder – Colorado
