If you’re not at least a quarter as elated as Annie & Marcus were to finally be husband and wife, then there’s a good chance you’re not thrilled enough. From the first moment I met Annie in the living room of Romantic RiverSong Inn in Estes Park before their simple Colorado elopement, I felt a wonderful sense of calming joy that just exuded from her. It’s my job to handle all the details, so they can just enjoy their wedding day and focus on getting married, and here Annie was already doing that for me!

The weather had been beautiful all week, but in true mountain fashion, decided to be wet, rainy, and even offer a few snow showers the day of the Henry-Perman wedding. I knew this could mean the bride and groom would choose to stay indoors, but Annie & Marcus said, “Nope! We’re only doing this once! We want to be outside!” Now, that’s my kind of couple! It was well worth the chill, and we came away with some incredible portraits.

Getting to witness and be a part of this wedding was such a privilege. I frequently found grinning wildly at the incredible joy Annie and Marcus shared throughout the day and their wedding. Annie let out several squeals of delight during the ceremony, and the pair paused for a kiss mid-ceremony just ‘cause they were so darn happy! Gah! This is the way you’re supposed to be on your wedding day, people!

Annie + Marcus,

When I called my husband on my way home from your wedding, I kept telling him over and over and over how beautiful it was to be part of your wedding because of the joy and excitement you shared with everyone. I can’t tell you how much it warmed my heart to hear you talk about how your wedding day is hugely important, but you were so excited for your marriage. Your commitment to each other is beautiful to witness. Thank you for inviting me to celebrate your love.
