When Dawn (this cutie pie’s mother) and I started planning Grace’s lifestyle home newborn photography session, we struggled with when to actually do it – should she be really new newborn, or should we just call these her “first” pictures and wait a few months? If we waited a few months, should we wait three months, six? While newborn pictures are precious, babies are more interactive and alert at six-month pictures – it was quite the dilemma. Eventually, we decided to do all the sessions! Newborn, three, six, nine-month and one-year pictures (Let’s make this a thing, People)!
Lifestyle Home Newborn Photography
Heading back up the mountain for Grace’s three-month pictures (If you missed it, click here to see Grace’s newborn session!), it was so fun to see how she’d grown, changed and put on some chubs. Baby chubs are the. best.
Grace loves her baths but really dislikes the getting dressed and undressed part. She loves to eat, but sleeping during the day? Not so much. I told her she should work on that, pretty sure she didn’t listen (Or maybe she did! I hear Grace slept 12-hours straight for the first time last week!).
One of my favorite things about these sessions is how thoughtful Dawn is to incorporate heirlooms (The blanket Gracie is cuddled in below was Dawn’s father’s.) into their daily routines – nothing extravagant, simply normal, beautiful, everyday moments that will hopefully mean a lot to Gracie someday.
Happy Three Months, Gracie!
We love you!
