Meet the Andy + Jess, South Dakotan transplants putting down some roots in Husker Nation (Good life choice, by the way) with their sweet pup, Max.
Andy and Jess met back in college – she was a sophomore orientation leader, and he was a freshman in a neon green hat and red shirt (Incredible fashion sense, Andy.) tagging along with a friend. Jess says she was immediately drawn to his contagious smile and laughter and told a friend she had a crush on him, but Andy was a little hesitant to pursue any relationships in those early college months. Still, the pair continued to talk and grow closer daily.
It didn’t take long before Jess knew she was in love. “I think I knew because I couldn’t picture my life without him anymore. It was like I had known him forever. We had a day where we didn’t talk or text at all, and Andy told me all he wanted to do was tell me about his day and ask how mine was. It made us both realize we were continually learning about each other and how to become better versions of ourselves.”
Omaha Couples Photography Session
“We wanted to document our first year together. The shoot is a symbol of change and growth for us as individuals and as a couple. Omaha is our first home together, and we care deeply about the time we’ve spent here so far.”
“Andrew and I have never felt super natural when placed in front of a camera. We tend to be a little awkward and feel out of place, but Laura was quick to help us relax and feel comfortable in our element. Her style is unique with how she conducts the session and creates the finished product. Someday when we have a family, we would love to have her be a part of our kids’ photos as they grow up and take the opportunity to document the many changes of life.”
Goodness, Jess + Andy. I so loved getting to hang out with you guys, laugh about our college years, and see the home you’ve created together. May God bless your marriage.
