To celebrate the first day of Summer, I’m bringing you this guide to the best of the best that Estes Park has to offer. As a former Estes resident, this is a compilation of a few of my most favorite hikes, eats, haunts, and treats. I’m super excited to share my love for all that is Estes through this guide!
Your Family Guide to Estes Park, Colorado
If we could do this is in person, I would love to grab a glass of wine and share all the goodness of Estes with you. I could tell you about nights spent hammocking under the stars, waterfalls so loud you can’t hear anything else, or a silence so deafening you can hear your soul breathe. And, I’d tell of vistas so grand your heart may burst from sheer joy. I’d share story after story of waking in the dark to summit before the storms come in the afternoon.
We’d talk of summer nights spent eating ice cream on a bench downtown, how tourists need to learn to put their phones away for the good of everyone, and of some of the best barbeque you will ever taste (Yes, it is in Estes). Mostly, I would try to convey how profoundly the mountains in and around Estes touched and changed my heart in the most beautiful way, and how important it is to protect our wild spaces.
As sad as it is, I’m just not able to share all of that with you in person, so I’ve created Your Family Guide to Estes Park just for you.
